This relaxed, woozy synth pop album remains modest and song focused but certainly hints at Lealanis virtuosity. The Californian producer, singer, and multi instrumentalist brings a unique voice and vibe to whatever they work on.

I saw them in 2023 with Kid Koala in support of his 2023 record on which Lealani features. She performed Fantastic Planet songs I already loved on midi equipment with astounding skill, as expected. However she also played a number of surf/punk/pop tracks centered on loud, heavily distorted guitar. These were equally as impressive and not at all incongruent with the rest of the set. It left me really looking forward to more material, in any form, from this talented and distinct artist.

For now though enjoy (and purchase!) this absolutely stellar record. Fans of traditional synth music, synth pop, trip hop, and contemporary art pop will appreciate this.
