A poetic post-rock record in Arabic with great improvisations and atmosphere. The typical spacious and moody post-rock sound is absolutely there, especially on the second half. Still the Beirut based sextets debut work is loaded with engaging rhythms and interesting jams ala krautrock. The end result is loose and sometimes groovy while remaining reverent and thoughtful. Check out the video for Bell, which I’ve posted below. It’s a highlight from the record that will especially resonate with psych fans, but the whole album is fantastic.
