This Chicago psych duo has been around for a good while- partners Joshua and Eliza have been releasing songs as Glyders for a decade before releasing their full length debut in 2023, Maria’s Hunt. As a fan of cosmic country and ambient Americana, this long awaited debut was instantly  ubiquitous. That was a relaxed album, often mistaken among my friends for Jeffrey Silverstein or Cowboy Sadness. Their follow up, Forever, has similar laid back vibes but it’s a real rock n roller by comparison. Whereas Maria’s Hunt was one to hum along too, Forever will have you singing and dancing. I only wish the record were longer, but none of these 30 minutes are wasted by the band. It’s jam packed with goodness perfect for a hot summer day. Check out the video for the especially upbeat single “Stone Shadow” below.
