A live record documenting one of the greatest noise/rock groups of all time. How heavy is it? It’s heavy enough to immediately stop your thoughts in their tracks and bludgeon them to death. It’s so immense that it reaches that trance-like place where the distortion envelopes you, and you dissolve into it.I don’t know how you even record music like this but I’m glad they did. I don’t know if they even tried to play any songs and frankly I don’t know any USA/Mexico songs- despite having every album on vinyl. I don’t look at which side I’m playing when I put one on. The track lists I might as well have never seen. USA/Mexico is about the full body feeling that comes in through your ears and sticks with you. This live record is something you can feel in your bones. I’m a big fan of everything these guys do, together and otherwise, and this live album is fantastic. It definitely rocks, but taken just as a noise record I think it’s as good as any of the studio greats.
