This is a live record of a concert on December 23rd, 2023, by the guitarist Hayden Pedigo. It’s a home town Christmas concert, an emotional full circle moment for the man from Amarillo and is his first live album after a decade of consistently brilliant studio records.

The recording, engineering and performance are all absolutely spectacular. It’s truly special and instantly one of the great records of American primitivism. I’ll even say that it clearly establishes Pedigo as not just a brilliant guitarist or exceptional experimentalist but a new master of American instrumental music. The constant comparison to Fahey is not just a genre descriptor that’s widely applied to acoustic guitarists. Pedigo is a new Americana genius himself, he is to Fahey as Bela Fleck is to Earl Scruggs. He stands on the shoulders of giants and genuinely reaches new heights. Don’t count the new pantheon of Americana virtuosos without Hayden Pedigo, and don’t miss this record.
