This is a fantastic pop album that evokes UK and West Coast USA post-psych pop from the 80s and 90s while also fitting clearly into this musical moment.

There’s beautiful vocals, plainly recorded acoustic instrumentation, banging drum n bass, breezy trip hop instant classics, and sing-along choruses that recall the best turn of the century radio pop.

Maybe this description makes you think of a litany of female fronted electronic pop indi bands of the last decade. I don’t like to drop names but if what I’ve described applies to any project you already enjoy, Daisies sound will be guaranteed to please but hopefully still a bit surprising.

It’s a great full playthrough but as with any great pop album a different track seems to snag me on every listen, and warrant lots of replays. Tonight it’s the enchanting folktronic/trip hop number “Oh Marie.” There’s not a weak track in the bunch and any given one is an ear catcher.
