Welcome to a new series: Softer Shades of Psychedelia, hosted by me, your favorite modmin.
As much as I love the heavy, the noisy, the extreme elements of psychedelic music, I also celebrate the softer, the slippery, the squishy and delicate aspects as well. Psychedelic experiences are, after all, incredibly varied and infinitely explorable. It’s only natural that the music reflects that.
It may be a daily series, semi-daily, or I’ll make just this one post, take too many bong rips and forget about it for a year.
Onward!
If you don’t know of the label Longform Editions, now you do. Each release is just one long track, designed to absorb you in a world of sounds.
This release is breathy, blurry, and beautiful. It exists in dust motes caught in blazing afternoon sun, in gentle waves of sparkling blues and greens, in dead leaves and snow drifts.
Enjoy.

In January 2023 I tried to find all of Shiroishi’s work on Spotify. It’s a public playlist that should come up searching his name.
