Wednesday at Treefort Music fest started the week off right with some killer psych and hefty guitar jams. Orions Belte (pictured) delivered a wide ranging set of their lo-fi psych, including some far out slide guitar work and a lengthy song reminiscent of Tuareg rock. Liquid light was provided by hard working west coast crew Mad Alchemy.

Had a great time at the main stage, with Dinosaur Jr. into Covet providing a lifetime of shredding in a mere 2 hours. My ears are still recovering.

I quite dug Irish chamber pop/neo psych artist Aoife Nessa Francis as well. Several tracks on her last record have become instant favorites and it was great to hear them live.

Stoaked for more sets, including plenty of new discoveries I’m sure.
