The second album from this bay area psych trio is no sophomore slump. Rather it’s- per the title- a huge improvement over their already excellent debut. Like many psych albums it’s a studio effort mixed out of many lengthy jams between the three experienced players, who are also skilled engineers. Unlike a lot of those records it’s still very song focused and it’s got an incredible live feeling to it. The album is relentless and absolutely full of energy. It’s a testament to the quality that can come from experienced players applying the full force of their talents without being contrived or overly serious. Fans of heavy psych trios have had a lot to love these past few years and should still count this group as one of the best.
