I’ve loved this band since seeing them a couple times in spring of 2024- first opening for the inimitable Brian Jones town Massacre and again at my favorite place on earth, Treefort Music Fest. This new record of theirs really captures the fresh young energy they bring to a classic psych sound. I think their earlier stuff was more driven by the two singers/guitarists and this is their first album written by all four band members. Which is great because the rhythm section (that also sings) is unstoppable and captivating.

The new “Fools Parade” checks a few boxes for me as it was in part recorded at John Dwyer’s new studio and features blog favorite Johnny Kosmo on keys. It’s got relaxed, classic California psych songwriting that still satisfies modern ears with its high energy delivery and stellar jams. Don’t miss it.
