More lo-fi high-vibes jazz from the Estonian multi instrumentalist and band leader. The record is four long tracks written and produced in two days, and you sure can’t hear the urgency in these laid back tunes but you can hear the inspiration. This one is perhaps less perfectly sculpted and instantly memorable than his previous LP but even groovier and somehow more vivid.

Over the course of several listens of these songs, I found myself believing in “cinematic” music. I think it’s a misused and overused phrase, often reverently describing barely perceptible classical, OST and library influences where they’ve zero business being if they’re even there. This record had me drifting away into very real daydreams and gazing off at the horizon. In fact it’s taken a number of listens to really appreciate it. The man knows how to write a hook in the sense that it’s not catchy per say, but will capture you fully.
