Two things immediately come to mind when listening to this fantastic record. Firstly, it sounds like Acid Mothers Temple if they ever explored a true jazz-rock fusion sound (as opposed to their typical Sun Ra worship.) Secondly, while the whole ensemble is extremely talented and interesting but its then keyboardist Risa Takeda that really steals the show.
The record is improvisation heavy but very focused. The modular synth really tickles the ears and brings the whole thing together. There’s elements of brutal prog but I would describe the atmosphere overall as colorful and fun rather than aggressive. This one is best enjoyed loud!
