Prolific multi instrumentalist Oli Heffernan delivers sublime psychedelic jazz on his newest solo studio release. It’s atmospheric and groovy with a quiet complexity thats welcome as ambience, but invites repeated close listens.

The record is packed with drones and field recordings but retains a mysterious pastoral vibe. There’s a folksy element there, as well as a strong repetitive rhythm section that recalls the more cinematic moments of krautrock. Jazz fans or anyone in the mood for something both mellow and engaging shouldn’t miss this release.
