Alright, well, I’ve quite unreasonably decided that this is gonna be my first post on our shiny new blog. I must admit, it’s still easier to post to Facebook since that’s where I am 99% of the time, but this website should allow us more freedom in terms of creativity, expression, and lack of censorship. We all know Zucc can succ a fucc, and we’re hoping to get this blog really rolling with some steam and momentum and appeal to people both from the original group who have been longtime allies, as well as bring in a new crowd that avoids the MetaHell altogether.

Anyways, I guess this is where it starts for me. We’ll likely be getting some bio-esque posts up here eventually in time for the actual launch (which has not happened yet at the time of this writing, though if you are reading this, then it likely has.) – but for now, it’s time to fill in with some content. Let’s get cracking.

Rimorso is a lush and textural listen that bills itself as being “Mediterranean Gothic”. I have no fucking clue what this means (maybe Matthias can enlighten us one day), but what I do know is that this is a delightful listen that combines ancient, tribal folky sounds with a slow throbbing industrial presence that isn’t afraid to get noisy. It’s all some very droney and hypnotic meditative stuff, quite an easy thing to get immersed and lost within as it slowly meanders its way through dark sacred lands. The vibes are set right away from the opening track, and just continue to ebb and flow, bubble and froth throughout.

“‘Rimorso’ is Mai Mai Mai’s new ritual, turning absence into presence, dismissing nostalgia for consummation, an immersion into the temporal disjunction we are experiencing through the essence of human fabric.”
