One of the most well kept secrets of early 70s jazz rock is definitely Madura, a band which released only two albums of sublime jazz rock, s/t and II, respectively from 1971 and 1973 (and it must be said that the latter one has one of the absolute best cover arts of all time.)

The albums have rather diverse vibes, where the debut is more rock oriented and the second one is far more jazzy and sounds like if War made a jazz rock album (the opening track, Livin’ In America sounds like a lost War song).
That being said, both albums are phenomenal and have some of the best drumming I’ve heard within the genre.

Definitely do not sleep on this shii 💯‼️
