A classic noisey/kraut record and a turning point in the mighty discography of The Observatory. Its sound would define the next several rock oriented releases by the band, and fits perfectly in the psych landscape over a decade later. Elements of contemporary sound scultpting, eastern folk and chamber musics, and thunderous noise come together to make a truly crushing post-krautrock album with serious gothic overtones. It’s also excellently produced and recorded. Next time you’re feeling moody, I suggest getting out the nice gear for a close listen.
