Two fine works of classic American avant-prog. A little mathy, a little trippy, some great free form and droning passages and (of course) a little bit of jazzy skronk. These guys have a memorable sound that seperates them from the pack. It’s got a sort of ambiguously medieval, pan ethnic folk twist thats hard to put to words. Better to just put the record on and enjoy! The two records make a truly great double feature, despite being more than a decade apart.
